Digital Photography opens a whole new world to wedding photography than that of its 35mm competitors. It allows you the customer to obtain more for your dollar and a higher quality of photographic images due to the post processing opportunities that are available with modern technology.
For example, with digital photography the bulk of the work is done both before and after the wedding day, the taking of the photos is the easy part (Well..). The real work comes in when taking a photojournalistic approach to the day as a whole.
Working the photographic locations before the day is just as important as taking the photos on the day. Capturing the location and its surrounds when there is no pressure and no time constraints makes for the most beautiful of backgrounds for some of your photos that are taken on the day.
As the wedding day rolls around there are moments that will always be cherished and remembered. The photographer will try to capture all of those moments plus more. Digital photography allows us to not worry about the cost of the film or do we have enough rolls left. We just keep taking the photos until the day turns to evening and the bridal waltz is danced at the reception.
There is no need to worry about the number of photos that we take as there is no cost, therefore you as the customer get a greater range of the candid shots as well as the set formal poses to make your choice from. It is not unusual for the client to have to choose their photos from up to 1000+ photos that the Digital wedding photographer took.
The only problem that the client might have is in stopping from choosing more than they had originally planned. The Digital photographer does not need to choose whether to shoot the moment in black & white or colour as all of the shots are taken in colour, and black & whites are produced in the post processing step of your complete wedding package.
